Final Reflection

April 14, 2010

As the semester finally rolls to an end I am very excited that I will be half done university. As I sit back and reflect over the past two years it has been a long and challenging journey but I have made it to the half point, so there is no stopping now. As the nice weather comes around I get more and more excited for their to be nice sunny days and no more snow. I can’t say I love going to school everyday all day or working everyday all day, but I know once this is all over I will be doing what I want to be doing and enjoying every moment while it lasts.

The last three weeks have been crazy I have had a million things due in every class, sometimes get the feeling like the homework load is never going to go away. I felt like that a lot these last few weeks, just as I was finishing one thing another was thrown at me. But here I am with one day of classes left, including 2 in-class essays, a fun night of reflections and one final! I am very excited but then thinking in less than a month I will be starting a 6 weeks spring class, but just one so it should be better than five.

Over the semester I have learned so much about technology once again. So for my final reflection I decided to use my computer and technology skills and create a video to sum up a few of the things that I learned and I believe are and will be an important part of my teaching in the future. You can check my video reflection out below! Unlike many of the other students in this class I still have two years left, so I feel that I can give many of these tools a try in my pre-internship and internship in the upcoming years.

Thanks for everyone’s help, support, guidance through the journey of ECMP 455. Have a great summer and good luck with your future classrooms and or classes!!

Very nice video Chels! I totally forgot that we learned about teaching overseas. That is something that is beginning to interest me more and more. In my ELNG class our teacher went over a bunch of different places and sites to find more info on this as well. I think it would be a great opportunity and an amazing chance to travel the world!

thanks! yes, everytime I hear more about it, it interests me more and more. I also heard all about in my ELNG class on the second last class. I would also really like to travel so it could be a good oppurtunity and a great expereince. I wonder if you can go to the same places like with a group of people and teach??
